Piano Recital by Barno Haknazarova

The Malaysian German Society will be presenting a piano recital on the 17th September at 8pm at USM in Dewan Budaya Auditorium. In this concert, MGS collaborates with the USM music department. Barno Haknazarova also will be giving a talk “ 21st century music education in Germany” and masterclass on 18th September at USM.
Barno Haknazarova is a highly acclaimed piano lecturer and concert pianist with over 20 years experience. She is proficient in German, Russian, English, Turkish and Uzbek languages. She did her degrees and concert artist exam(equivalent to PHD) at Tashkent State Conservatory, Leipziger Hochschule für Musik (Germany) and Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik (Berlin, Germany). She studied with Prof. Popovitsch (Special Music school named after Uspensky), Prof. Gekkelmann(Tashkent State Conservatory), Prof. E.Richter Tchaikovsky State Conservatory), Prof. Cincadze (Tashkent State Conservatory), Prof. Gerald Fauth (Berlin and Leipzig). She was the lecturer of University Putra Malaysia, Bilkent University (Turkey), Tashkent State Conservatory (Uzbekistan) and also of special music school named after Uspensky (Uzbekistan). She has performed with St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra (Russia), Ankara Philharmonic Orchestra (Turkey), Central Asian International Orchestra (Kyrgystan), Malaysia National Symphony Orchestra (Malaysia) and Berlin Symphony Orchestra (Germany).
She won prizes in the 1987 Republic of Uzbekistan Piano Competition, 1991 Central Asian International Piano Competition, 1992 Tashkent International Chamber Music Competition, 1997 Viana da Mota International Piano Competition in Macao. 2002 International Bach Competition in Leipzig (Germany), 2004 International Reger Competition in Bavaria (Germany), 2005 International Bach Competition in Saarbrücken (Germany). She was also the principal speaker in the International Music Project “Brain Map” organized by Goethe Institute in Tashkent.
Currently she is teaching music at Hennigsdorf Music School (Berlin Brandenburg, Germany) and Leipziger Hochschule für Musik (Germany).
