Oktoberfest 2010

This year’s Oktoberfest was held on two days:
Saturday, 23rd October from 7pm onwards &
Sunday, 24th October from 11am to 3pm.
The Oktoberfest 2010 was again a great success! All 1600 tickets were sold out, with most tickets being sold before the evening itself. The Chief Minister of Penang was there again, as well as the German ambassador, who hails from Bavaria himself.
It was a true “Volksfest” (folk festival) with lots of people, food, drink and music from the Reissner Band, which came all the way from Bavaria to oompah their way through the evening with the people of Penang.
Everybody, including our VIPs had a lot of fun with the famous “Ententanz” (chicken dance), there were Games for the adults and games for the kids too!
So all of us tell the MGS, don’t forget to turn the beer on again next year!
